Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Verify patient information and prescription details for safety compliance
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide medication counseling and answer patient inquiries
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and DEA regulations
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient therapy
Qualifications
- Active PTCB or ExCPT certification required
- Texas State Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
