Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications following state and federal regulations
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records with precision
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and health maintenance strategies
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize inventory management and workflow efficiency
- Administer vaccinations and perform point-of-care testing under pharmacist supervision
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of prescription medications and drug interactions
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- CPR certification preferred
