Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Assist patients with medication questions and provide basic pharmaceutical counseling.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical products.
- Operate pharmacy point-of-sale systems and process payments efficiently.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with all local health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and active New York State Pharmacy Technician License (required).
- PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High school diploma or GED required.
