Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications according to doctor's orders.
- Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and allergies, to ensure safety.
- Assist the lead pharmacist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and ordering.
- Process insurance claims, handle copay collections, and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and addressing patient concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace.
- Perform point-of-sale transactions and manage cash registers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
- Valid Arizona Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain).
- Strong understanding of drug interactions and pharmacy laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems.
