Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile environments
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before/during/after surgical procedures
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms and position them for surgery
- Process and sterilize surgical equipment following strict protocols
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year of scrub experience in general surgery
- Current BLS certification
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Graduate of accredited surgical technology program
