Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical instruments according to protocol
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile technique
- Monitor patient vital signs and inventory surgical supplies
- Apply sterile dressings and transport patients post-operatively
- Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and AORN standards
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent surgical tech experience
- Graduate from accredited surgical technology program
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in general surgery, orthopedics, and endoscopy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique
