Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments for 15+ daily procedures
- Assist surgeons during complex operations including trauma and robotic cases
- Maintain strict aseptic technique per OSHA and AORN standards
- Manage inventory of 200+ surgical items and equipment sterilization
- Collaborate with 15-person surgical team for seamless case turnover
- Document procedures accurately in Epic EMR system
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 2+ years recent OR experience in Level I trauma center
- BLS/CPR certification with current ACLS preferred
- Expertise in minimally invasive instrumentation
- Ability to stand 8+ hours with precise manual dexterity
- Pass background check and drug screening
- NY State Surgical Tech license (NYSTSA)
