Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile and ready.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Maintain a sterile field by adhering to strict aseptic techniques and protocols.
- Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow.
- Handle specimens accurately and transport patients safely to and from the operating room.
- Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately in medical records.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy, sterilization processes, and medical terminology.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
