Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Support: Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments in a safe and efficient manner.
- Vital Signs & Intake: Accurately measure and record patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, and height.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-ins, update Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, and prepare medical charts.
- Laboratory Support: Collect and process laboratory specimens, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Medication & Supplies: Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers and maintain inventory of medical supplies.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and medical staff to ensure clear and compassionate communication.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or MA (Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent work experience.
- Licensure: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications are mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar) and strong computer literacy.
- Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
