Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, answering calls and responding to needs promptly.
- Prepare and serve meals according to established dietary plans and patient preferences.
- Transport patients to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, or activity areas.
- Report any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in North Carolina.
- Unencumbered license to practice as a CNA in the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods as required by the job.
