Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and toileting, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Provide basic bedside care, such as feeding, repositioning, and ambulating patients as directed by nursing staff.
- Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any changes or abnormalities to the charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient environment, adhering to all infection control and safety protocols.
- Document patient care activities and intake and output accurately in medical records.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required by the state of Florida.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
