Responsibilities
- <ul><li>Provide direct, patient-centered care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.</li><li>Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, accurately and timely.</li><li>Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walking with appropriate support.</li><li>Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and any incidents in the electronic medical records system.</li><li>Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and patients' families to ensure a holistic approach to care.</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and staff in accordance with infection control protocols.</li><li>Administer medications as directed by licensed nurses, ensuring proper dosage and timing.</li></ul>
Qualifications
- <ul><li>Current, unencumbered State of Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.</li><li>High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.</li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications (American Heart Association or Red Cross).</li><li>Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.</li><li>Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others in a healthcare setting.</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as needed.</li><li>Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet patient needs.</li></ul>
