Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist licensed nurses (RNs and LPNs) with procedures, treatments, and medical equipment.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort by maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation and records.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA Certification in the state of Indiana.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate attitude and a commitment to patient-centered care.
