Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals while strictly adhering to patient dietary restrictions and feeding guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Document daily care activities and promptly report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (can obtain upon hire).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and move patients weighing up to 50 lbs safely.
- Demonstrated compassion, patience, and a strong desire to help others.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
