Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring, and ambulation using proper techniques.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by RNs and LPNs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and patient families regarding patient status.
- Document all care activities and observations in the electronic health record (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current Oregon State CNA certification (CNA II preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
