Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, engaging them in conversation and activities to promote mental well-being.
- Help patients with mobility issues, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or assisting with walking.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions and nutritional needs are met.
- Change linens and maintain a clean, sanitized environment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
- Accurately document patient care activities and update medical records as required by facility protocols.
Qualifications
- No Prior Experience Required: We provide full training and mentorship for candidates interested in entering the healthcare field.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus but not mandatory if you are willing to obtain it.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented healthcare setting.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients safely.
- Valid state-issued CNA certification (or willingness to work as a Caregiver/CNA Trainee).
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in patient care.
