Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist nurses with wound care, catheter care, and other medical procedures as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA certification in the state of Massachusetts.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience as a CNA in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
