Responsibilities
- Provide basic bedside care to patients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Feed and hydrate patients according to dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Document patient care activities, including intake and output, in medical records accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient needs and progress.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Reliable transportation and ability to pass a background check.
- High school diploma or GED required.
