Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring, and ambulation using proper techniques.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing team regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Maryland CNA License.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a home health or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 25 lbs).
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
