Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and report abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and observations.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are executed.
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Illinois CNA License required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely and stand for extended periods.
- Demonstrated compassion and a commitment to patient well-being.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is a plus.
