Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to patients including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with medical procedures and maintain accurate patient documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Support patient emotional well-being through active listening and empathy
- Participate in shift handovers and care planning meetings
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHR)
