Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring patients with dietary restrictions are accommodated.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Document patient care plans, intake, and output in electronic medical records (EMR) promptly.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license in the state of Georgia.
- CPR/BLS certification is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
