Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, throughout the shift.
- Assist patients with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Communicate significant changes in a patient's condition to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Document daily care activities and patient interactions in electronic health records (EHR) efficiently.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient recovery and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered CNA license issued by the State of Arizona.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or hospital settings is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
