Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care.
- Administer medications and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Maryland State CNA certification (required).
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting is preferred.
