Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring to beds or wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Document patient care activities, including changes in patient condition and daily progress.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and families to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Current and valid North Carolina CNA Certification (or eligible for reciprocity).
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with lifting patients (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a focus on dignity and respect.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
