Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Provide basic bedside care and comfort measures to patients.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and family members regarding patient needs.
Qualifications
- Current and active Florida CNA License (CNA-1 or CNA-2).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred).
- Previous experience in a long-term care, rehabilitation, or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
