Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance as needed.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and report any changes in condition or complaints to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities and observations in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Current and active California CNA license issued by the state.
- Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and medical staff.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not required.
