Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by the nursing staff, ensuring proper documentation.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions to the Charge Nurse or medical staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Document patient care plans and progress notes in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and active Ohio CNA license required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
