Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic hygiene and skin care to maintain patient comfort and dignity.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and feeding schedules.
- Document patient progress, behaviors, and care activities accurately in medical records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment to prevent infections and accidents.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, doctors, and family members regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Willingness to obtain or already possess a CNA certification (training provided if no experience).
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor towards patients.
