Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment by following infection control protocols and sanitation standards.
- Document daily care activities and patient interactions accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Current and active Kansas State CNA license required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform manual tasks as needed.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
