Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Vitals: Regularly check and record patient blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist Medical Staff: Support registered nurses and physicians with procedures and patient transfers.
- Maintain Hygiene: Ensure patient rooms and personal belongings are clean and organized.
- Document Care: Accurately log patient care activities and changes in condition in medical records.
- Communicate Effectively: Relay important information to the healthcare team and keep patients informed about their care.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Nevada.
- Training: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is a plus but not required for immediate hires.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical assistive tasks.
- Compassion: Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to help patients.
