Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, according to facility protocols.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and patients to update care plans and report changes in condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff.
- Administer medication as directed and document accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Active and current California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical ability to lift, transfer, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred but not mandatory for immediate hires.
