Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor patients' vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for patients to prevent infections and accidents.
- Assist with ambulation, positioning, and turning patients to prevent bedsores.
- Document patient care activities and changes in patient condition accurately in medical records.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, meals, or therapy sessions as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license currently active in the state of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
