Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Move patients safely using proper body mechanics and mobility aids (walkers, wheelchairs).
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions and feeding assistance are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment by following sanitation protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure quality care.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or eligibility to obtain certification within 90 days).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong compassion, empathy, and a desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
