Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide basic patient care including bathing, dressing, and grooming to ensure patient comfort and hygiene.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Mobility Assistance: Assist patients with walking, transferring, and positioning to prevent bedsores and promote safety.
- Communication: Communicate changes in patient condition or behavior to the nursing staff and physicians immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient records, charts, and incident reports.
- Hygiene: Assist with toileting and incontinence care, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active CNA Certification (State of NC) required.
- Licensure: Must possess a valid CNA license and be in good standing.
- CPR/BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred but not always required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and patient-centered care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
