Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues using walkers, wheelchairs, or transfer aids safely.
- Document patient care plans, daily activities, and changes in condition in electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient status.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents and staff.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance.
Qualifications
- Current, valid State of Washington Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in nursing is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
- Physical and emotional stamina to handle the demands of a fast-paced healthcare environment.
