Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients safely to ensure comfort and prevent bedsores.
- Assist with feeding patients and maintaining proper nutrition and hydration.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and physicians regarding patient needs.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification (or enrollment in a state-approved training program).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with lifting and transferring patients.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred).
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
- A compassionate and patient-focused attitude is essential.
