Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse) and symptoms accurately.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
  • Transport patients to and from treatment areas, ensuring safety and comfort using mobility aids.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Document patient care services and changes in condition in electronic medical records (EMR) promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, doctors, and the wider healthcare team.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license in the State of California.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred).
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
