Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with the administration of medication under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for residents and patients.
- Communicate changes in patient condition, mood, or behavior to the nursing staff immediately.
- Document patient care activities and updates in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Support patients and families with emotional and practical needs during their stay.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Maryland.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as required.
