Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, wheelchairs, or stretchers safely.
- Document patient care plans, changes in condition, and medications administered accurately.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current, active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license in the District of Columbia or Virginia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient privacy and dignity.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a diverse team structure.
