Responsibilities
- Assist patients with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient conditions
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support during overnight hours
- Assist with medication administration under RN supervision
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments and infection control protocols
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Collaborate with nursing staff on care plans and patient updates
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana CNA certification required
- Minimum 1 year long-term care or hospital experience preferred
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Exceptional communication and observational skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening
