Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the Registered Nurse (RN).
- Document patient care plans and changes in condition in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Current and active Kentucky CNA certification (CNA-I or CNA-II).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed (physical stamina required).
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety.
