Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct, hands-on care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain patient hygiene and ensure the environment remains clean, safe, and therapeutic at all times.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient conditions, care provided, and changes in status in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient needs and updates to RNs and other healthcare team members.
- Meal Assistance: Assist patients with meals and monitor their nutritional intake and preferences.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active, and unencumbered Washington State CNA license required.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be maintained and current.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility setting preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and clarity.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) and holidays.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
