Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance to elderly residents (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of adaptive equipment
- Support meal service and ensure dietary needs are met
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments and infection control protocols
- Collaborate with nursing staff on care plans and patient updates
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and emergency situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- No prior CNA experience required (paid training provided)
- Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Certification (or enrollment in program)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and empathy for elderly populations
