As a CNA at Unity, you will be the backbone of our patient care team, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for those we serve.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Provide basic ambulatory assistance, including helping patients walk or transferring them to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Report any changes in a patient's behavior, physical condition, or alertness immediately to the nursing staff.
- Feed and hydrate patients according to their dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized environment for residents and patients at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred; prior experience is not required.
- Willingness to obtain a valid CNA certification or actively pursuing enrollment in a nursing program.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable transportation to and from the healthcare facility.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic charting and documentation.
