Responsibilities
- Assist with Daily Living Activities: Provide compassionate care to patients by assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.
- Monitor Patient Status: Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the registered nurse or charge nurse immediately.
- Vital Signs Measurement: Accurately measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Safe Mobility Support: Assist patients with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics and transfer equipment to ensure safety.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and visitors, following infection control protocols.
- Documentation: Complete accurate documentation of patient care activities and observations in electronic health records.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team, ensuring patients are informed and comfortable.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current Arizona CNA License required (or willingness to obtain certification if training is provided).
- Experience: No prior experience required; we prioritize attitude and aptitude over history.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks required for patient care.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Compliance: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
