Responsibilities

  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Report any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the registered nurse (RN) or charge nurse immediately.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Ensure the patient's environment is clean, safe, and organized.
  • Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or stretchers as needed.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
