Job Summary
As a CNA, you will play a vital role in our healthcare team, providing direct patient care and support to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates; report any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist with mobility, including transferring patients from beds to wheelchairs or walking them safely.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and feeding schedules.
- Document patient care activities, moods, and behaviors accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Ohio required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as needed.
