Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the healthcare team and document all care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Communicate changes in patient condition or concerns to the Charge Nurse or nursing supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to all hygiene and infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of North Carolina.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
