Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by the healthcare team and document all care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Communicate changes in patient condition or concerns to the Charge Nurse or nursing supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to all hygiene and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of North Carolina.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred but not required for the right candidate.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed.
