Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assistance: Support patients with mobility, transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Documentation: Accurately maintain patient records, charts, and care plans in accordance with facility policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Hygiene & Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in implementing emergency care protocols as directed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certification: Current CNA certification and state licensure required (we can assist with certification if you have the willingness to learn).
- Experience: No prior experience required – we provide comprehensive on-the-job training for the right candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and a patient-centered approach to healthcare.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to pass a background check and drug screening.
